My journey to starting CrossFit is different than most. I didn’t want to start Crossfit. I went along with trying it because my whole family was into it. Once I did it, I fell in love with how working out and being around others trying to better themselves felt. I started CrossFit when I was 2 years into my sobriety. Shortly after starting I new that it was going to be an ongoing tool to living a healthy sober lifestyle. I only became a coach to be able to coach a Sober Sunday class. Then I realized how much I care about helping others find the freedom that I have experienced. The decision to start CrossFit 1776 was to give people a space pursue the best version of themselves. I feel I can help others find freedom from everyday life through CrossFit. When I’m working out the only thing I’m thinking about is the movement not the life that’s going on outside of that one hour time period.
