We’ve both walked through seasons that broke us. For a long time, we tried to carry the weight of pain on our own. Different demons, same process — shame, survival, rebuilding.
That’s how Resolute Life was born. Not from a business plan or a perfect beginning, but from the belief that freedom comes when you stop running from the hard stuff and start facing it head-on.
Today, Resolute Life stands for everything that helped us rebuild — faith, fitness, and community.
It’s a nonprofit built to help others find strength, purpose, and belonging through movement.
And it all started inside the walls of our home gym, CrossFit 1776.
Our Story: Different Battles, Same Freedom
We’ve both lived through rock bottom in different ways.
For Kallie, healing began after years of watching addiction dismantle the people she loved most — then enduring a toxic marriage that stripped away her confidence, her identity, and her faith.
For Mike, it was addiction itself — a daily fight to escape the grip of something that promised comfort but delivered destruction.
We both reached a point where we were done surviving. We needed something that made us feel alive again. At first, fitness was just an outlet — a way to manage stress, rebuild strength, and feel in control again. But over time, it became something deeper. The gym became our sanctuary and the barbell became a teacher. Every workout was a battle between who we were and who we were becoming.
Through sweat, discipline, and faith, we learned that healing isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up. It’s about facing your pain, pushing through resistance, and remembering that strength doesn’t come from ease — it comes from endurance.
That’s where Resolute Life was born. We realized that what saved us — faith, fitness, and community — could save others too.
People in recovery don’t just need meetings or therapy; they need movement, purpose, and connection. They need a place where they can rebuild confidence, community, and belief in themselves again.
So we decided to create it.
Healing Through Movement
Resolute Life is our way of paying it forward — a space for people who are ready to heal, grow, and start again.
Through fitness, we help people rediscover who they were created to be. We believe the gym is one of the most powerful environments for transformation — because it demands effort, accountability, and vulnerability. Inside those walls, people find discipline, courage, and belonging.
Whether it’s someone taking their first class after rehab, a mom rediscovering her strength after trauma, or a veteran learning to trust his body again — every story matters.
Why We Call It “Resolute Life”
Because freedom takes resolve. Resolute defined is admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering. It’s not for the faint of heart. It’s for those who choose to keep fighting when life knocks them down — to show up even when it hurts, to build faith through action, and to believe that they were made for more. It’s being steadfast, firm, committed, brave, unshakable, devoted, bold and grounded.
That’s what we want people to feel when they walk into a Resolute Life, that sense of unwavering determination to keep going.
Freedom Through Fitness — For Every Body
We believe movement is medicine — not just for the body, but for the heart and mind. Every workout is a metaphor for recovery: you struggle, you fail, you get back up, and you grow stronger.
Through Resolute Life, we’re creating opportunities for people to move again — through fitness classes, community events, and support for those in recovery or rebuilding their lives. Our goal is simple: to make fitness accessible to everyone who needs a fresh start.
